THE 2015 EMPLOYMENT AND EARNINGS SURVEY REPORT
The Employment and Earnings Survey (EES) is an establishment based survey which is the main source of Labour Market Information (LMI). The EES collect information on employment, distribution of earnings and vacancies in the formal sector. The 2015 EES report give the magnitude of these variables for the year 2015.
The 2015 EES results show that, there were 2.3 million persons employed in formal sector compared to 2.1 million persons in 2014. The results also show that, there were 0.7 million persons employed in public sector and 1.6 million persons employed in private sector. Education industry had the largest share of total employment with 19.6 percent followed by manufacturing industry with 18.1 percent.
