IMF says Tanzania is Among the First Wave of Countries to Implement the e-GDDS

At the request of the authorities a mission from the International Monetary Fund’s Statistics Department led by Mr. Andrew Kitili visited Dar-es-Salaam during October 19‑25, 2016, to assist with the implementation of the Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS), which was endorsed by the Executive Board in May 2015. The mission helped develop the National Summary Data Page (NSDP), currently on the National Bureau of Statistics website, utilizing the Open Data Platform installed with the support of the African Development Bank, to serve as a one-stop publication vehicle for essential macroeconomic data. This sets Tanzania firmly among the first wave of countries to implement the e-GDDS.
