The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in collaboration with the Office of Chief Government Statistician (OCGS) – Zanzibar, the Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children –Tanzania Mainland and the Ministry of Health – Zanzibar is currently conducting the 2017 Tanzania Malaria Indicator Survey (TMIS). The survey consists of a nationally representative sample of households designed to provide data on a broad range of health and demographic indicators. The survey is designed to provide national, urban-rural and regional estimates of the key indicators.

The information collected by this study will monitor the progress made in the health sector particularly on malaria-related indicators and respond the needs of National Plans, International Goals and Community at large.
