This report presents the official Quarterly Gross Domestic Product (QGDP) estimates for Tanzania Mainland, for the months of October; November and December, 2010. The compilation of QGDP follows the need of having appropriate policy interventions which can be achieved through reliable and frequent statistical reports on recent economic developments. The current quarterly GDP estimates will be revised on quarterly basis.
In the report, the real growth rates are measured as percentage changes of QGDP for current year as compared to the QGDP for the previous year. For example, the real growth rate for the fourth quarter of the year 2002 is the percentage change between QGDP of the fourth quarter of the year 2001 and the corresponding figure for the year 2002.
