Annual Headline Inflation Rate for the month of August, 2019 has decreased to 3.6% from 3.7% recorded in July, 2019.
The decrease of the headline inflation explains that, the speed of price change for commodities for the year ended August, 2019 has decreased compared to the speed of price change recorded for the year ended July, 2019.
The overall index went up to 116.01 in August, 2019 from 112.01 recorded in August, 2018 which is equivalent to an increase of 3.6%. However, the speed of price change in August, 2019 is lower than that recorded in July, 2019.
