The 2022 Census is the sixth since the establishment of the United Republic of Tanzania in 1964. The previous censuses were conducted in 1967, 1978, 1988, 2002, and 2012. The 2022 Population and Housing Census is the first to be conducted digitally in Tanzania and has been successfully carried out, enabling the timely release of results.

Tanzania Integrated Statistical Portal (TISP)

The Tanzania Integrated Statistical Portal (TISP) is a comprehensive platform that integrates and disseminates official statistics from various government agencies across both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. It features interactive maps, data trends, Census Statistics (Census Hub), Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) results, the Tanzania National Data Archive (TNADA), the Tanzania Statistical Information Service (TASIS), Tanzania Data Portal (TDP) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) portals.

Datasets: Tanzania National Data Archive (TNADA)

A Web-based cataloging and sharing system, it facilitates access to microdata collected from surveys and census data. Acting as a centralized hub for survey information and extensive metadata, it covers a diverse range of surveys. Users can conveniently browse, search, access, and download relevant survey and census metadata and microdata, making it easier to utilize this valuable information for research and analysis.
