GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) Portal

A GIS Portal focusing on data sharing and access geographic data, fostering, collaboration and enabling informed decision across various sectors including Government, Researchers and business community by providing a centralized platform for data management and visualization.
Apart from others for instance, inculcating spatial analysis in the dissemination of the statistical data provides new insights, trends and patterns that may not be captured with the table retrieval system, correlating analytical results with location data on maps that intend to provides easy-to-understand visualizations because most people find maps easy to comprehend.

Tanzania Integrated Statistical Portal (TISP)

The Tanzania Integrated Statistical Portal (TISP) is a comprehensive platform that integrates and disseminates official statistics from various government agencies across both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. It features interactive maps, data trends, Census Statistics (Census Hub), Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) results, the Tanzania National Data Archive (TNADA), the Tanzania Statistical Information Service (TASIS), Tanzania Data Portal (TDP) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) portals. TISP enhances access to harmonized and timely data for planning, monitoring, and policy-making while promoting transparency and informed decision-making.

Datasets: Tanzania National Data Archive (TNADA)

A Web-based cataloging and sharing system, it facilitates access to microdata collected from surveys and census data. Acting as a centralized hub for survey information and extensive metadata, it covers a diverse range of surveys. Users can conveniently browse, search, access, and download relevant survey and census metadata and microdata, making it easier to utilize this valuable information for research and analysis.
