The energy balance is an annual statistical report that shows the supply, transformation and final consumption of different energy products and flows in the country. An energy balance is constructed as a matrix showing both energy products (columns) and energy flows (rows). It is prepared for a given calendar year and expressed in a common energy unit. An energy balance provides a comprehensive and consistent picture of the energy situation and trends in Tanzania.
