Tourism continued to be among the key drivers of growth in Tanzania with its impact translating into persistent increase in foreign exchange earnings. Cognizant of such economic importance of the sector, the country undertakes annual international visitors’ exit surveys with the objectives of estimating tourists’ expenditure pattern, number of arrivals, travel arrangement and tourist demographic characteristics.
