National Bureau of Statistics produces and disseminates official statistics including high-frequency data. Further, NBS coordinates the National Statistical System in accordance with the Statistics Act Cap. 351. High-frequency data are hourly, daily, weekly or monthly observations recorded at short time intervals. Such observations include exchange rates, stock exchange, inflation, tourist arrivals as well as production of goods and services. High-frequency data is key for timely and appropriate interventions for evidence-based decision making as well as an input in economic modelling.
